NOTE: Your organization must contract with Iron Mountain to enable Digital Delivery functionality. Enabling Digital Delivery disables IOD functionality; enabling IOD disables Digital Delivery.
A digital delivery order is a request for one or more files to be digitized and stored as images in Iron Mountain's secure InSight repository. Digitized images can quickly and easily be retrieved at any time. Digital Delivery orders are available at the file level; they cannot be used for boxes.
Placing a Digital Delivery Order:
Customers that contract with Iron Mountain for this time- and cost-saving order type place digital delivery orders as part of retrieval orders.
- Select Search, Retrieve.
- Search for and add a file to your retrieval cart. The retrieval method automatically defaults to Digital Delivery.
- Place your order. Iron Mountain scans the file and uploads it to Iron Mountain InSight where it is permanently stored.
Retrieving Digitized Images:
Once a file has been digitized, Iron Mountain Connect Records Management sets the order status to Processing Completed and you are able to access the imaged file as follows:
- Select Search, Retrieve.
- Add the Image column to your Search Results grid.
- Search on the following:
- SKP Barcode OR
- Customer plus Record Type set to File
- Digitized files display in the Search Results grid. To open the digitized file, click the Digitized
icon in the Imaged column.

to Download the file to your computer.
NOTE: Digital Delivery customers who need to have items delivered physically select CHECKOUT from the Retrieval Method dropdown in the cart.
Tracking Digital Delivery Orders
- Select Track Orders.
- Add the Image column to your Search Results grid.
- Search on the following:
- Order Number OR
- Customer plus Order Type set to Digital Delivery.
- Digital Delivery orders display in the Search Results grid.
- To view the all order details and history, click the Order Number link.
- To open a list of the digitized images, click the Digitized
icon in the Imaged column.
